Botox Brow Lift
Subtle Lift. Brighter Eyes. Still You.
Brow lift lines can make the upper face look more tired or aged than you feel. The goal at Bolus is a smoother, more refreshed eye-area without creating a heavy, flat or overdone appearance.
At Bolus Med Spa, brow lift treatment begins with your brow movement pattern, eye shape, cheek movement and anatomy. The goal is not to erase every expression line. It is to soften the lines that make the eye area look more tired or aged while preserving a natural, refreshed appearance that still looks like you. Bolus Med Spa is located in Elkridge, Maryland, just minutes from Columbia and Ellicott City, and serves patients throughout Howard County and surrounding communities.
Every eyebrow raise folds the eye-area skin.
Horizontal brow-area lines commonly develop from repeated contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle, the broad muscle that elevates the eyebrows.
They are often called upper-face wrinkles, brow-area lines or horizontal brow-area lines.
When you raise your brows, the frontalis contracts and the overlying skin folds. Over time, lines that initially appear only with expression may become visible even when the eye-area is relaxed.
That distinction matters because treating movement is different from correcting an established crease in the skin.
A common concern. A more complex treatment area than it looks.
Brow lift are the fine lines that radiate from the outer corners of the eyes. They are strongly influenced by repeated contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle when you smile or squint. Sun exposure, skin quality and loss of collagen can make them more visible over time.
Lines When You Raise Your Brows
Early brow-area lines may appear primarily when you raise your eyebrows. Carefully reducing selected frontalis activity can soften repetitive folding while maintaining useful facial expression.
Lines Visible At Rest
With repeated movement and changes in skin quality, horizontal creases may remain visible even when your eye-area is relaxed. A neuromodulator can reduce the muscular force, but an established skin crease may not disappear completely from injections alone.
Brow Position Matters
The frontalis is an important brow elevator. Brow height, eye-area length, eyelid anatomy, asymmetry and how strongly you recruit the eye-area all influence treatment. That is why eye-area injections should be mapped to the individual rather than copied from a standard pattern.
A brow lift with Botox is really about muscle balance.
Your brow position reflects a balance between muscles that elevate the eyebrows and muscles that pull them downward. A non-surgical Botox brow lift strategically reduces selected depressor activity so the untreated elevator function can have relatively greater influence.
The result, when anatomy is favorable, is usually subtle. Think a slightly more open, rested eye area rather than the dramatic repositioning possible with surgery. Botox cannot remove excess eyelid skin or reproduce a surgical brow lift.
Downward Pull
Muscles around the glabella and lateral eye can contribute to downward brow pull. Strategic treatment may reduce selected depressor activity.
Frontalis Matters
The frontalis elevates the brows. Treating the forehead without considering brow position and frontalis recruitment can change brow height, which is why upper-face planning matters.
Subtle Elevation
A Botox brow lift is best understood as a modest, anatomy-dependent change. It does not remove loose skin and is not a substitute for blepharoplasty or surgical brow lifting when those are more appropriate.
A small area can require thoughtful planning.
The eye-area and glabella work together to influence brow position and upper-face expression. We evaluate the entire upper face rather than treating horizontal lines in isolation.
Watch You Move
We evaluate your resting brow position, eyebrow asymmetry, eye-area height, frontalis recruitment, muscle strength and any pre-existing eyelid or brow heaviness.
Choose The Pattern
Injection sites, dose and product are selected according to your anatomy and treatment objective. Some patients want subtle softening and maximal movement. Others prefer a smoother eye-area. Natural and refreshed should never mean one identical result for everyone.
Let The Result Develop
The effect develops gradually rather than instantly. We want enough time for the neuromodulator response to declare itself before deciding whether additional treatment is appropriate.
The goal is a brighter expression, not a surprised one.
A successful non-surgical brow lift depends on anatomy. Brow height, brow shape, forehead length, eyelid skin, baseline asymmetry, frontalis recruitment and the relative strength of brow depressor muscles all matter.
This is also why a brow lift should not be treated as an isolated injection point. Forehead lines, frown lines and brow lift often interact with brow position. Your clinician may recommend treating one or more areas as part of a balanced upper-face plan.
Heavy Or Tired-Looking Brows
Some patients have muscle patterns in which reducing selected downward pull can create a subtle improvement in brow position and make the eye area appear more open.
Hooded Eyes
Botox may change brow position in selected patients, but it does not remove excess upper-eyelid skin. Significant hooding or structural brow ptosis may require a different evaluation or surgical option.
Natural Brow Shape
The objective is balance. Excessive lateral elevation or poorly balanced forehead treatment can create an unnatural shape, so conservative planning and reassessment are important.
A smooth eye-area is not only about toxin.
If your brow-area lines are visible even when you are completely relaxed, the skin may have developed resting creases from years of repeated folding, sun exposure, collagen loss and other skin-aging factors.
Dynamic Frown Lines
Horizontal lines that appear mainly when you raise your eyebrows often respond well when frontalis activity is carefully reduced.
Etched Frown Lines
A eye-area crease that is already etched into the skin may soften after repeated reduction in movement, but resurfacing, collagen-focused treatments or skincare may also be considered depending on depth and skin quality.
What to expect from Botox brow lift.
Treatment Time
The injection portion is generally brief. Consultation and facial assessment are part of the appointment.
Downtime
Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately. Temporary redness, tenderness, small bumps or bruising can occur.
Onset
Changes often begin within several days. The full effect is not immediate and varies by product and individual response.
Duration
Neuromodulator effects are temporary. Many patients experience results lasting several months, although duration varies with product, dose, muscle strength and individual biology.
How much does a Botox brow lift cost near Columbia, MD?
A Botox brow lift does not have one universal dose or flat treatment amount. Your investment depends on the product selected, the muscles being treated, whether the brow lift is performed alone or as part of a balanced upper-face treatment, and the total dose recommended after evaluation. Bolus prices Botox, Jeuveau and Xeomin by the unit rather than forcing every patient into the same package.
Standard Pricing
$15 per unit for Botox, Jeuveau or Xeomin. Your clinician determines the appropriate product, placement and dose after evaluating your facial movement and goals.
Private Client | Foundation
$10 per unit for Botox, Jeuveau or Xeomin for active Foundation Private Clients. Monthly Private Client contributions are placed into the Bolus Wallet after successful collection and can be used toward eligible treatment.
Private Client | Elevated
$9 per unit for Botox, Jeuveau or Xeomin for active Elevated Private Clients, providing our preferred neurotoxin pricing within a broader treatment-planning relationship.
Dysport uses its own product-specific dosing and is not interchangeable unit-for-unit with Botox, Jeuveau or Xeomin. Your actual Botox brow lift investment is based on the individualized treatment plan recommended for you. The objective is appropriate treatment and facial balance, not simply using the greatest or fewest number of units.
Not everyone should be treated the same way.
A cosmetic injection is still a medical treatment. Your health history, medications, anatomy and prior response matter.
Tell us before treatment if you...
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Have a known neuromuscular disorder or significant muscle weakness.
- Have had a prior reaction to a botulinum toxin product.
- Have an infection, rash or significant inflammation near the proposed injection sites.
- Take medications that may affect neuromuscular transmission, bleeding or bruising.
- Have prior eyelid or brow drooping, facial weakness, facial surgery or significant asymmetry.
Potential risks
- Pain, tenderness, redness, swelling or bruising at injection sites.
- Headache or temporary discomfort.
- Asymmetry or an undesired change in expression.
- Temporary eyebrow or eyelid drooping.
- Temporary weakness in nearby muscles.
- Rarely, toxin effects can spread beyond the injection area and cause serious symptoms such as generalized weakness or difficulty speaking, swallowing or breathing.
Clinical evaluation matters.
Wrinkle relaxers should not be selected solely by the number of units someone received elsewhere or by a social-media injection map. Different products have different dosing systems, and the safest treatment pattern depends on the individual face.

Why neuromodulators are used for brow-area lines.
Botulinum toxin type A products have extensive clinical use in facial aesthetics. BOTOX Cosmetic has an FDA indication for temporary improvement in moderate-to-severe brow-area lines in adults when used with glabellar-line treatment. Product indications, dosing systems and labeling differ by brand.
BOTOX Cosmetic + Crow’s Feet
BOTOX Cosmetic is FDA-indicated for temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe brow-area lines associated with orbicularis oculi muscle activity in adults, when treated in conjunction with glabellar lines.
VIEW FDA LABELAmerican Society of Plastic Surgeons
ASPS describes botulinum toxin as an injectable treatment that temporarily reduces selected muscle activity and is commonly used for frown lines, brow-area lines and crow's feet.
READ PATIENT EDUCATIONCommon questions about a non-surgical brow lift.
What is a Botox brow lift?
A Botox brow lift uses strategically placed botulinum toxin injections to reduce selected muscles that pull the brow downward. In suitable anatomy, the resulting muscle balance may allow a subtle elevation of the brow and a more open appearance around the eyes.
Can Botox lift hooded eyes?
Sometimes a subtle change in brow position can make the upper-eye area appear more open. Botox does not remove excess eyelid skin, however, and it cannot reproduce the structural change of blepharoplasty or a surgical brow lift. Evaluation is important because “hooded eyes” can result from several different anatomical factors.
How much does a Botox brow lift cost?
Cost depends on the product and total individualized dose. Bolus Standard pricing for Botox, Jeuveau and Xeomin is $15 per unit. Active Foundation Private Clients receive $10 per unit pricing and active Elevated Private Clients receive $9 per unit pricing. Dysport uses its own product-specific dosing.
How long does a Botox brow lift last?
Botulinum toxin effects are temporary. Duration varies by product, dose, anatomy and individual response. Your clinician can discuss expected timing and an appropriate reassessment schedule for your treatment plan.
Is a Botox brow lift the same as a surgical brow lift?
No. A Botox brow lift produces a limited, temporary, muscle-based change in selected patients. Surgery can physically reposition tissues and address concerns that injectable treatment cannot. Patients with significant brow ptosis or excess eyelid skin may need evaluation for other options.
Can a Botox brow lift look unnatural?
Any neuromodulator treatment can alter expression if placement or dose is not well matched to the patient. Bolus evaluates the upper face as a system, including brow position, forehead movement, asymmetry and eye shape, with the goal of a subtle, refreshed result rather than an exaggerated arch.
Look smoother and more refreshed - not overdone.
If your brow position or upper-eye area makes you look more tired or heavy than you feel, we can evaluate your brow movement, forehead recruitment and eye-area anatomy and discuss whether a Botox brow lift is a worthwhile investment for your goals. Patients visit Bolus from Columbia, Ellicott City and throughout Howard County for natural, refreshed results that are not overdone.
