THE BOLUS APPROACH

Your skin doesn't need another random peel.

It needs the right treatment for the problem you're actually trying to solve.

We select treatment according to your skin, goals and degree of correction rather than asking you to choose a chemical, brand or device.

Sometimes that's a chemical peel. Sometimes it's Signature Microneedling, MOXI, HALO, medical-grade skincare—or a combination.

START WITH THE PROBLEM

What do you want to change?

You don't need to diagnose your skin or decide which treatment you need. Start with what you're seeing in the mirror.

Dark Spots

Improve visible pigmentation and uneven tone for clearer, more balanced-looking skin.

Acne + Congestion

Address surface buildup, congestion and discoloration acne can leave behind.

Melasma

Incorporate peels when appropriate into a broader pigment-management strategy.

Dull Skin

Remove accumulated surface cells and restore a fresher-looking appearance.

Rough Texture

Improve superficial irregularity so skin looks and feels smoother.

Fine Lines + Sun Damage

Improve superficial photodamage and signs of accumulated environmental exposure.

SIMPLE BY DESIGN

We don't build treatment plans around a peel brand.

We build them around your skin.

Treatment selection depends on the concern being treated, desired depth, skin type, treatment history and the amount of recovery that makes sense for you.

TWO LEVELS OF TREATMENT

Choose the amount of correction—not the chemistry.

LIGHT CHEMICAL PEEL

Freshen. Brighten. Maintain.

$250 Standard treatment price

A customized lighter peel for patients seeking superficial correction of dullness, congestion, discoloration and uneven texture.

  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Mild discoloration
  • Congestion
  • Uneven tone
  • Superficial texture
  • Ongoing skin maintenance
THE RESULT

Skin that looks healthier—not simply “peeled.”

Peeling can be part of the process. It isn't the goal. The goal is better-looking skin.

Brighter Improve visible dullness.
Clearer Improve discoloration and uneven tone.
Smoother Improve superficial texture.
More Even Create a more balanced overall appearance.
THE BOLUS SIGNATURE

A peel is great.

Signature Microneedling + Peel goes further.

Chemical peels primarily address changes closer to the skin surface.

Microneedling adds controlled collagen stimulation beneath the surface, allowing us to address texture and collagen remodeling while incorporating surface renewal into the same treatment strategy.

When your concern extends beyond superficial dullness or discoloration, this combination may make considerably more sense than a peel alone.

SIGNATURE MICRONEEDLING + PEEL

Texture + Collagen + Surface Renewal

  • Uneven texture
  • Visible pores
  • Fine lines
  • Selected acne scars
  • Post-acne skin changes
  • Overall skin-quality improvement

PEEL, MICRONEEDLING OR LASER?

Different problems require different tools.

We don't keep repeating a treatment simply because that's the page you happened to land on.

Treatment Often Considered For Primary Approach
Chemical Peel Dullness, superficial pigmentation, congestion and uneven tone Surface renewal
Signature Microneedling + Peel Texture, pores, post-acne changes and collagen remodeling Collagen stimulation + surface renewal
MOXI Pigmentation, melasma, photodamage and overall skin quality Fractional laser
HALO More significant texture, photodamage and acne-scar correction Hybrid fractional resurfacing
TCA CROSS Primarily ice-pick scars and selected deep, narrow atrophic acne scars Focal scar treatment
Medical-Grade Skincare Pigment control, acne management, prevention and treatment maintenance Daily home-care strategy

Recommendations depend on skin type, examination, history, clinical appropriateness and individual goals.

ONE TREATMENT OR A SERIES?

Sometimes one peel is enough. Sometimes consistency matters more.

A single peel can be useful for refreshing the skin or treating a specific superficial concern.

When cumulative pigment or skin-quality improvement is the goal, a planned series may make more sense.

Treatment selection and interval are individualized. Perfect Derma Peel is one example of an advanced peel we may use.

MELASMA

Melasma requires a strategy—not a miracle peel.

A chemical peel can be useful for selected patients, but melasma is a recurrent pigment disorder that usually requires a broader plan.

That may include sun protection, medical-grade skincare and, when appropriate, MOXI .

ACNE SCARS

Acne marks and acne scars are not the same thing.

Surface discoloration left behind after acne may respond to a peel. True depressed scars involve structural changes below the surface.

Depending on scar morphology, treatment may include Signature Microneedling , HALO , or focal TCA CROSS—used primarily for ice-pick scars.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND BETTER SKIN

Clinical decisions should be driven by the skin—not marketing.

Chemical peels have been studied for acne, dyspigmentation, photodamage and skin rejuvenation. Clinical literature also reinforces the importance of choosing treatment depth and technique according to the patient's condition, skin type and history.

SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Chemical Peels for Acne

A systematic review of randomized controlled trials evaluated chemical peeling for acne and found support for its use while finding insufficient evidence that one commonly used peel is universally superior.

Choosing the Right Peel

A clinical review describes chemical peeling as an individualized procedure in which indication, desired depth, examination findings, Fitzpatrick skin type and relevant history help determine treatment.

SYSTEMATIC REVIEW + META-ANALYSIS

Microneedling + Chemical Peeling

A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis examining atrophic acne scars found combination microneedling and chemical peeling produced greater improvement than either treatment alone in the included studies.

CHEMICAL PEEL FAQ

What patients usually want to know.

Will my skin actually peel?

It depends on the treatment and individual response. More advanced peels may create noticeable peeling, while lighter treatments can produce considerably less visible shedding. Visible peeling itself is not the treatment goal.

How much downtime should I expect?

Recovery varies according to peel intensity and individual skin response. Expected recovery and aftercare are reviewed before treatment.

Can chemical peels help dark spots?

Selected chemical peels may improve superficial pigmentation and uneven tone. More persistent pigmentation may require a broader strategy.

Can chemical peels help melasma?

A peel may be one component of melasma management, but melasma is prone to recurrence and frequently requires ongoing pigment control, sun protection and appropriate home care.

Can a peel remove acne scars?

Post-acne discoloration and true depressed acne scars are different. Structural scars may require microneedling, laser treatment or a focal scar procedure depending on morphology.

What is TCA CROSS used for?

TCA CROSS is a focal procedure used primarily for ice-pick acne scars and selected deep, narrow atrophic scars. It is not the same as performing a full-face chemical peel.

Why combine microneedling with a chemical peel?

Microneedling stimulates a collagen-remodeling response beneath the surface while a chemical peel can address surface renewal. Our Signature Microneedling + Peel treatment brings those approaches together when appropriate.

What's the difference between a peel and MOXI?

Chemical peels create controlled chemical exfoliation. MOXI is a fractional laser treatment that may be considered when pigmentation, melasma, photodamage or overall skin quality warrants a laser-based approach.

How many treatments will I need?

Some patients choose a single treatment while others benefit from a series. The appropriate number depends on the condition, skin response and degree of correction desired.

What if I don't know which treatment to book?

You don't need to. Start with the concern. Bolus can help determine whether a peel, Signature Microneedling, MOXI, HALO, medical-grade skincare or another treatment approach is most appropriate.
