Bolus Med Spa - Elkridge, Maryland

A Different Kind
of Med Spa.

Built by people who still believe knowing the patient matters.

Bolus Med Spa is a clinician-led aesthetic and laser practice built around advanced technology, thoughtful treatment planning and something increasingly difficult to scale: relationships.

We know our patients. We talk about their treatments. We follow their progress. And we believe the best aesthetic medicine happens when expertise, technology and continuity exist in the same practice.

The Bolus Difference

Boutique by design.
Clinical by foundation.

We are not interested in moving patients through a treatment chair as quickly as possible.

We want to understand your skin, your anatomy, your goals, what you have already tried and where the greatest return on your treatment investment is likely to come from.

Sometimes that means a laser. Sometimes an injectable. Sometimes skincare. Sometimes the best recommendation is to wait.

Our Philosophy

We don't treat a menu.
We treat the person sitting in front of us.

A wrinkle is not always simply a wrinkle-relaxer problem. Pigment is not always a laser problem. Skin laxity is not always a filler problem.

Skin quality, facial anatomy, collagen loss, movement, pigmentation, vascular changes, hormones, metabolic health, lifestyle and previous treatments can all influence what we are seeing.

That is why Bolus begins with assessment before treatment.

Mark Abbott MSN CRNP FNP-BC, founder and Medical Director of Bolus Med Spa in Elkridge Maryland
Founder - Medical Director

Mark Abbott

MSN - CRNP - FNP-BC

Mark Abbott is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of Bolus Med Spa.

His healthcare career began in 1992, progressing through roles as an EMT/medic, respiratory therapist, nurse and ultimately nurse practitioner. Over more than three decades, his clinical experience has included emergency medicine, urgent care, family medicine, telehealth, hormone and metabolic medicine, and medical aesthetics.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing, BSN, from Liberty University and his Master of Science in Nursing, MSN, from Gonzaga University.

His continued clinical education has increasingly focused on medical aesthetics, laser and energy-based technologies, injectable treatments, regenerative procedures, hormone therapy, PCOS/PMOS, thyroid dysfunction and metabolic health.

At Bolus Med Spa, Mark performs advanced laser and energy-based treatments, injectable aesthetics, regenerative procedures, and comprehensive aesthetic assessments and treatment planning.

His broader medical background influences how he evaluates aesthetic concerns. Skin, hair, pigmentation, body composition and other changes do not always exist independently from underlying health factors. Understanding those relationships can provide valuable context when determining whether an aesthetic treatment is appropriate or whether a concern warrants evaluation outside the aesthetic setting.

Bolus Med Spa remains focused on aesthetics, skin, lasers, injectables, regenerative treatments and selected wellness services. Hormone therapy and medical weight management are not provided through Bolus Med Spa.

"Understand the concern first. Choose the treatment second."

Licensed Medical Esthetician

Bianca Celleri

LME

Bianca Celleri is a Licensed Medical Esthetician and an integral part of the Bolus aesthetic team.

Her work focuses on skin health, professional skincare, HydraFacial treatments, skin preparation, maintenance, patient education and helping patients navigate longer-term aesthetic treatment plans.

One of Bianca's greatest strengths is continuity.

Rather than evaluating a patient's skin at a single appointment, Bianca often works with patients repeatedly over time. She learns how their skin responds to treatments, what products they are using, what has improved, what has changed and where additional attention may be needed.

That longitudinal perspective becomes particularly valuable when skincare, HydraFacial, lasers, peels, resurfacing, injectables and other treatments are being used together as part of a larger aesthetic strategy.

Bianca is known for her thoughtful, attentive approach and the relationships she develops with her patients. She takes tremendous pride in helping patients understand their skin and seeing the improvements that can develop through consistent, individualized care.

"Great skin is rarely the result of one appointment. It is built through the right treatments, the right skincare and consistency."

Bianca Celleri LME, Licensed Medical Esthetician at Bolus Med Spa in Elkridge Maryland
One Patient - One Team

Every patient who walks through the door is a Bolus patient.

Mark and Bianca work collaboratively rather than treating their respective services as separate parts of the practice.

Bianca's repeated contact with a patient's skin can provide valuable insight into treatment response, skincare tolerance, changing concerns and long-term progress. Mark brings medical assessment, advanced procedural expertise and treatment planning to that same conversation.

They routinely communicate about patients and how individual treatments fit into the larger aesthetic plan.

As Medical Director, Mark maintains responsibility for clinical oversight and appropriate treatment planning, while Bianca contributes the continuity and skin expertise that comes from working closely with patients over time.

The practice should know the patient, not simply the appointment on the schedule.

Why Bolus

Technology matters.
Judgment matters more.

Owning advanced technology does not automatically create better outcomes. Knowing when and when not to use it is what matters.

01

Clinician-Led

Clinical assessment, treatment planning and appropriate medical oversight remain at the center of the Bolus model.

02

Advanced Technology

Our platform includes multiple laser and energy technologies so treatment can be selected around the concern rather than forcing every concern through a single device.

03

Natural Results

The goal is not to make every face look the same. Treatment should respect anatomy, proportion, skin quality and the patient's preferences.

04

Long-Term Thinking

Sometimes the highest-value plan is not one dramatic treatment. It is a thoughtful sequence performed at the right intervals.

How We Think

Concern first.
Device second.

We start with what you are trying to change and work backward toward the appropriate treatment.

Skin Quality

Pigment, redness, texture, pores, acne, scarring and photodamage may require very different approaches.

Explore Skin Concerns

Facial Movement + Structure

Wrinkle relaxers, filler, collagen stimulation and skin tightening each solve different pieces of facial aging and structural change.

Explore Injectables

Laser + Energy

Different wavelengths, depths and technologies exist because there is no single best laser for every patient or concern.

The Private Client Experience

From individual treatments to an ongoing aesthetic plan.

Some patients come to Bolus for one treatment. Others want something more intentional.

The Bolus Private Client experience is designed for patients who value continuity, preferred access, treatment planning and an ongoing relationship with the practice.

A relationship, not a treatment subscription.

Skin changes. Faces change. Priorities change.

Long-term aesthetic care should be able to change with them.

Private Client gives us a framework to think beyond the next appointment and toward the larger aesthetic plan.
