How much does a HydraFacial cost at Bolus?
Our Express HydraFacial is $200, Deluxe HydraFacial is $250, and Diamond HydraFacial is $350. Private Client pricing may apply for eligible active Private Clients.
Will HydraFacial fix my pigmentation, dark spots, or melasma?
No. HydraFacial is not a treatment we use to correct significant pigmentation or melasma.
Your skin may look brighter and more refreshed after cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration, but that is different from treating abnormal pigment.
If brown spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun damage, or melasma are what bother you, we need to identify the type of pigment and build a treatment specifically for it.
At Bolus, pigment-focused treatment may include MOXI, microneedling, chemical peels, professional pigment-correcting skincare, and other carefully selected laser or light treatments depending on your skin and diagnosis.
Melasma deserves particular care because it is chronic and recurrent. If pigment is your primary concern, don't book a HydraFacial expecting it to remove it.
Is HydraFacial good for acne?
It can be useful for selected patients, particularly when congestion, excess oil, and clogged pores are part of the problem. Moderate, severe, inflammatory, or persistent acne may require a more comprehensive treatment plan.
Does HydraFacial remove blackheads?
The extraction portion uses controlled suction to help remove debris and congestion from pores, making blackheads and clogged pores a common reason patients choose treatment.
Does HydraFacial include extractions?
Yes. HydraFacial includes machine-assisted extraction as part of the treatment. For many patients, that is all that is needed.
Occasionally, individual blackheads, milia, or areas of deeper congestion benefit from manual extraction. If there are only one or two simple areas, Bianca may address them during the treatment at her discretion without an additional charge.
If more extensive manual extractions are indicated, a $50 Manual Extraction Add-On applies. This allows us to devote the additional time needed to properly treat significantly congested skin rather than rushing through it as part of the standard HydraFacial appointment.
Is there downtime after a HydraFacial?
Most patients return to normal activities immediately. Temporary redness or sensitivity can occur, and individual responses vary.
Can HydraFacial be used on darker skin tones?
HydraFacial can generally be used across a broad range of skin tones. We still evaluate active skin conditions, sensitivity, medical history, and treatment goals before recommending treatment.
How often should I get a HydraFacial?
There is no one schedule appropriate for everyone. Frequency depends on your skin, goals, other treatments, home skincare program, and whether HydraFacial is being used for correction or maintenance.
Can I get a HydraFacial before a wedding or special event?
HydraFacial is commonly selected when patients want refreshed, hydrated-looking skin without significant downtime. If you have never had one before, we still recommend planning ahead rather than trying a new treatment immediately before an important event.
What is the difference between HydraFacial and a regular facial?
Traditional facials vary significantly. HydraFacial uses a device-based system to exfoliate, extract, and hydrate the skin. At Bolus, we also customize the treatment based on your skin and the HydraFacial level selected.
Is HydraFacial worth it?
That depends on what you're trying to correct. If you're primarily concerned about congestion, hydration, dullness, or routine skin maintenance, HydraFacial may make sense. Significant acne scarring, deeper wrinkles, vascular redness, or pigmentation may respond better to other treatments—and we'll tell you when that's the case.
