Restore Volume With Sculptra
Everything You Need To Know About Sculptra Aesthetic
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable sugar molecule called poly-l-Lactic Acid, that is used to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds. It contains poly-L-lactic acid, which helps stimulate the production of collagen in the skin. Collagen is a protein that provides structure and support to the skin, and its production naturally decreases as we age, leading to the development of wrinkles and sagging skin.
Unlike gel based dermal fillers that primarily work by adding instant volume to the skin, Sculptra Aesthetic works by stimulating the body's own collagen production that offers timeless beauty. The poly-L-lactic acid particles in Sculptra Aesthetic are gradually absorbed by the body, which triggers the natural collagen-building process. This results in a gradual improvement in skin thickness, texture, and elasticity, leading to a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
Sculptra Aesthetic is typically used to treat deep facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth) and marionette lines (the lines that extend from the corners of the mouth to the chin). It can also be used to add volume to areas of the face that have lost fat or become hollowed due to aging, especially the temples, cheeks, and jaw line.
The treatment process usually involves a series of injections performed over several sessions, spaced a few weeks apart. The results of Sculptra Aesthetic are not immediate but gradually become visible over time, as the collagen production is stimulated. The effects can last up to two years, although individual results may vary.
It's important to note that Sculptra Aesthetic should only be administered by a qualified healthcare professional who is experienced in using Sculptra. Like any medical procedure, it carries potential risks and side effects, such as injection site reactions, bruising, swelling, and lumps. It's essential to consult with a healthcare provider to determine if Sculptra Aesthetic is suitable for your specific needs and to discuss potential risks and benefits.
How Does Sculptra Work?
Dermal fillers work by adding volume back into the areas of the face where volume has decreased. This can include the face, neck, chest, hands, and even buttocks. To keep it simple, we’ll use the face as an example to show how dermal fillers work. Keep in mind Sculptra is another injectable option that you can learn about in the Sculptra section.
Think of it like this: When you’re young, your face is like a balloon that's full of air. As that balloon “ages,” air naturally starts to decrease, resulting in a more deflated appearance. Sometimes, you’ll even notice the balloon starting to get wrinkly as the air escapes. If we want to bring that balloon back to its original state, we need to add air back in.
The same goes for your face and collagen. We naturally lose collagen in our faces over time, so in order to “reinflate” and bring back that youthful appearance, we need to add a substance that will restore that plump look—dermal fillers to the rescue.
The Sculptra Experience Are You Ready To Turn Back The Clock?
During the Sculptra treatment experience, our expert team will begin with a personalized consultation to understand your unique needs and create a customized plan. The procedure itself is quick and relatively painless, with multiple injections administered over several sessions to ensure optimal and long-lasting results. One of the key benefits of Sculptra is that it requires little to no downtime, allowing you to resume your daily activities immediately after treatment. While some mild, temporary side effects like swelling or bruising may occur, they are generally short-lived.
The ideal male or female candidate for Sculptra Aesthetic falls within the age group of 30 to 65 and has concerns related to lost facial volume, wrinkles, and fine lines. If you are seeking a treatment that yields natural-looking results and are committed to a gradual transformation with a long term return on investment, Sculptra is an excellent option for you. It is essential that candidates are in good overall health and disclose any medical conditions to ensure a safe and successful treatment experience.
