ClearV® 1064 nm Vascular Laser • Elkridge / Columbia, Maryland

See the vessel.
Treat the vessel.

ClearV is built for vascular precision — visible facial vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins and selected deeper vascular targets.

ClearV by Sciton uses a 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength to deliver targeted energy into unwanted vascular structures while integrated cooling helps protect the skin. Its subsurface vein illumination can help identify vessels that are not always obvious at the surface.

At Bolus, ClearV is not our answer to every red face. We use it when a vessel-specific treatment makes more sense than a diffuse-redness treatment.

Best fit: discrete vessels are different from diffuse erythema. ClearV is strongest when the target is a vessel we actually want to treat.

Precision vascular treatment with integrated cooling and subsurface vessel visualization.

ClearV At A Glance

A vascular laser — not a generic “redness facial.”

ClearV is designed to target vascular structures. That distinction matters because diffuse flushing, inflammatory rosacea and a visible telangiectasia are not the same clinical target.

What ClearV May Treat

When the problem is vascular.

01

Facial Telangiectasia

Visible small facial vessels around the nose, cheeks, chin or other areas may be appropriate targets.

02

Broken Capillaries

Discrete red or purple vascular structures can be treated more directly than broad background redness.

03

Spider + Leg Veins

Selected superficial and reticular vascular targets on the body may be appropriate depending on anatomy and vessel characteristics.

04

Rosacea Vessels

ClearV can be useful when visible vascular structures are part of a rosacea presentation. Explore Rosacea + Redness →

ClearV vs The Other Redness Tools

One wavelength family. Different jobs.

ClearSilk

Better suited to diffuse redness, flushing, skin revitalization and low-downtime maintenance rather than larger discrete vessels. Explore ClearSilk →

BBL HERO

Useful when superficial diffuse redness overlaps with pigment and photodamage. Explore BBL HERO →

How ClearV Works

Targeted energy + vascular visualization + cooling.

1064 nm Nd:YAG

The wavelength penetrates to vascular targets and is absorbed by blood within the vessel, creating controlled thermal injury to the unwanted vascular structure.

Subsurface Illumination

ClearV incorporates subsurface vein illumination to help reveal feeder or deeper vessels that may be less obvious with standard surface visualization.

Integrated Cooling

A sapphire contact cooling system helps support comfort and epidermal protection during treatment.

All Skin Types

Sciton markets ClearV for Fitzpatrick I–VI. Treatment still requires individualized parameter selection, sun-exposure review and clinical judgment.

Preparation + Recovery

Low downtime does not mean zero planning.

01

Evaluate

We assess vessel color, size, depth, location, skin type, medications, recent sun exposure and prior vascular treatment.

02

Prepare

Treatment area should be clean. Depending on the area, shaving may be requested. Avoiding unnecessary tanning or sun exposure is important.

03

Treat

You may feel brief warmth or heat as individual vessels are targeted. Treatment time depends on the number and size of vessels.

04

Recover

Temporary redness, swelling, bruising or darker/purplish vessel appearance may occur before vessels fade over time.

05

Reassess

Some vascular targets respond after one session; others need additional treatment based on vessel behavior and clearance.

Not Sure If You Need ClearV, ClearSilk Or BBL?

Describe the redness.

If you see individual vessels, broad flushing, persistent background redness or a mixture, text Bolus. We can provide general educational and scheduling information and route you toward the right evaluation.

Bolus Text Concierge: This service provides general educational and scheduling information only. Although Bolus Med Spa is staffed by healthcare professionals, texting is not a medical consultation, does not establish care or a healthcare provider-patient relationship, and does not provide diagnosis, individualized treatment recommendations, prescribing or medical advice. A clinical consultation or evaluation is required to determine an individualized treatment plan.

ClearV FAQs

Before treating the vessel.

What does ClearV treat?

ClearV is designed for selected vascular concerns including facial telangiectasias, broken capillaries, spider veins and other visible or subsurface vessels. Candidacy depends on the vessel and clinical evaluation.

Is ClearV the same as ClearSilk?

No. ClearV is vessel-specific. ClearSilk is a gentle non-ablative 1064 nm treatment used more broadly for diffuse redness, rosacea and skin revitalization.

Can ClearV treat rosacea?

It may be incorporated when visible vascular structures are an important component of rosacea. Rosacea may also require other treatment for diffuse redness, inflammation or barrier dysfunction.

Is there downtime?

Downtime is generally limited, but redness, swelling, bruising or temporarily darker treated vessels can occur.

How many treatments will I need?

That depends on vessel size, depth, location and response. Some vessels improve after one treatment; others need additional sessions.
