A Sharper Jawline Should Still Look Like Your Face.
If your lower face feels soft, your jawline seems to disappear in photos, or your profile lacks definition, jawline filler may help create structure—but only when the chin, jaw and neck are evaluated together.
At Bolus Med Spa, jawline filler is not about making every face wider or creating an exaggerated angle. We use facial proportion, chin projection, soft-tissue support and natural anatomy to decide where structure will actually improve the lower face.
The goal is not a “snatched” jawline at any cost. It is a cleaner, stronger lower face that still fits your features.
Sometimes the jawline needs filler. Sometimes the chin needs to be addressed first. Sometimes laxity, jowling or skin quality is the bigger issue. The consultation determines which problem we are actually solving.
Definition is about structure—not just adding volume.
Jawline contouring can improve selected areas of the lower face when soft-tissue support is part of the problem.
More Angle + Structure
Selected placement near the mandibular angle can create a stronger transition between the lower face and neck.
Cleaner Contour
Strategic filler may improve irregularity or soften the appearance of a less-defined mandibular border.
Smoother Lower-Face Transition
In appropriate patients, structural support near the pre-jowl can create a more continuous lower-face line without pretending filler can surgically lift tissue.
Is the jawline actually the problem?
A softer lower face can come from more than one thing.
A recessed chin, jowling, skin laxity, volume changes, neck anatomy and muscle activity can all influence how defined the jawline appears. Adding filler to the jaw without understanding the rest of the lower face can create heaviness instead of refinement.
Projection Can Change the Entire Lower Face
When the chin is under-projected, correcting it first may create more visual improvement than simply adding product along the jaw.
Filler Cannot Replace a Lift
If tissue descent or laxity is the dominant issue, additional volume may not create the result someone expects. Other options—or surgical consultation—may be more appropriate.
Refine the jawline without overbuilding the face.
The best result is not the most dramatic one. It is the one that creates cleaner structure, better proportion and still looks completely believable.
Structure With Purpose
We assess the chin, mandibular angle, jawline body and pre-jowl area together, then place product only where it improves the overall lower-face balance.
Natural From Every Angle
The jawline should look refined from the front, profile and three-quarter view. We are not trying to create a hard, overfilled or trend-driven lower face.
Most structural jawline plans are larger than a one-syringe treatment.
For HA filler, a typical Bolus jawline plan may use approximately 4–10 syringes in total, depending on facial size, chin projection, mandibular structure, pre-jowl contour and the degree of definition being built.
Some plans are completed in stages. Others may use Sculptra instead of—or together with—HA filler when broader collagen support and longer-term structural change better match the anatomy and treatment goals.
$3,000–$7,500
4–10 syringes at $750 per syringe.
$2,800–$7,000
4–10 syringes at $700 per syringe while eligible for Foundation pricing.
$2,600–$6,500
4–10 syringes at $650 per syringe while eligible for Elevated pricing.
When broader support makes more sense
Sculptra may be used when the plan calls for gradual collagen stimulation and broader structural support rather than relying only on HA filler. Current pricing is $950 per vial Standard, $900 Foundation and $800 Elevated.
HA filler + Sculptra
Some patients benefit from a combination: HA filler for targeted contour and projection, with Sculptra used strategically for broader support over time. The exact mix depends on anatomy, treatment priorities and short- versus long-term goals.
Private Client may make the overall plan more efficient.
If your jawline treatment is part of a larger year involving chin filler, facial balancing, Sculptra or other treatments, preferred pricing and Bolus Wallet contributions may improve the economics of the full roadmap.
Sharper contour is possible. Surgical lifting is different.
Jawline filler adds and redistributes soft-tissue volume. It does not remove skin, reposition deeper tissues or change the underlying bone.
Structural Definition
Patients seeking more mandibular definition or correction of selected contour deficiencies may be good candidates.
Jowls + Heaviness
When lower-face heaviness is driven by tissue descent, adding more volume must be considered carefully.
Skeletal / Surgical Change
Filler has limits. Significant skeletal concerns or advanced laxity may require a different treatment pathway.
Assess. Build strategically. Reassess.
Full Lower-Face Assessment
We evaluate chin projection, jawline contour, jowling, neck transition, facial width and overall proportions.
Strategic Treatment
Product is placed only where it contributes to the intended structure. The exact amount varies substantially by anatomy and goal.
Maintenance
Maintenance timing varies by product, anatomy and individual response. We reassess the face rather than automatically repeating the original volume.
Structural treatments can add up. Plan them intelligently.
With many structural jawline plans using approximately 4–10 HA syringes—or a customized HA filler + Sculptra approach—Private Client pricing can become meaningful. If jawline contouring is part of a broader plan involving chin filler, facial balancing, biostimulators, wrinkle relaxers or skin treatments, we can show you the economics of the full roadmap before you decide.
Chin. Jawline. Jowls. Neck. They are not separate faces.
We consider the lower third together so treatment is not reduced to injecting whatever area a patient happened to search for first.
The best plan is the one that improves proportion without overbuilding the face.
Not sure whether filler would actually sharpen your jawline?
Start with what you are noticing—not the treatment name.
Tell us whether your concern is a soft jawline, weak chin, jowls, lack of angle or simply that your lower face feels out of balance.
Help Me Understand My Lower Face
We will use your concern to guide the next educational step rather than assuming every jawline concern needs filler.
Questions patients ask before lower-face contouring.
How many syringes of jawline filler do I need?
At Bolus, a typical structural HA jawline plan may use approximately 4–10 syringes in total. The actual amount can be lower or higher depending on facial size, chin projection, mandibular structure, pre-jowl contour and desired definition. Some plans are staged.
How much does jawline filler cost?
For a typical 4–10 syringe HA plan, current pricing is approximately $3,000–$7,500 Standard, $2,800–$7,000 for eligible Foundation Private Clients, or $2,600–$6,500 for eligible Elevated Private Clients. Sculptra or a hybrid HA filler + Sculptra plan changes the investment.
Can jawline filler get rid of jowls?
It can sometimes improve selected pre-jowl contour deficiencies, but filler does not remove loose skin or surgically reposition tissue. Significant laxity or jowling may need a different treatment approach.
Should I get chin filler or jawline filler first?
That depends on facial proportions. In patients with limited chin projection, the chin may have a greater effect on profile and lower-face balance and may be prioritized first.
Does jawline filler make the face look wider?
It can if too much lateral width is created. Product amount and placement should reflect the patient's anatomy and desired result rather than a universal “snatched jawline” template.
Can Sculptra be used for jawline contouring?
Yes, in selected patients. Sculptra may be useful when broader collagen support and gradual structural improvement better fit the anatomy. It can also be combined with HA filler when targeted contour and longer-term support are both goals.
Can men get jawline filler?
Yes. Men may seek stronger lower-face structure or mandibular definition, but the plan still needs to respect the individual's facial proportions rather than applying a generic masculine shape.
Is jawline filler permanent?
No. Longevity varies by product, treatment area, anatomy and individual response. Maintenance is reassessed over time.
Build structure where it belongs.
If your jawline feels soft or your lower face lacks definition, we can determine whether the answer is jawline filler, chin support, another treatment—or no filler at all.
