We use the Restylane® family and Evolysse® hyaluronic acid fillers, selecting the product, amount and placement around your anatomy and your goal—not a one-size-fits-all syringe plan.
The goal is proportion and balance: a chin that fits the profile, lips that fit the face, cheeks that restore contour and a jawline that looks defined—not “done.”
We don't chase every line or fill every hollow. Sometimes the best plan uses filler. Sometimes it uses a wrinkle relaxer, laser, skincare, a collagen-stimulating treatment—or no injectable at all.

One syringe sounds like a lot. It isn't.
One syringe contains about 1 mL of product—roughly one-fifth of a teaspoon. Think about the size of a blueberry.
That's why facial contouring may require more than one syringe to create a meaningful result. The amount of filler should match the anatomy, proportions and treatment goal.

Botox®, Dysport®, Jeuveau® and Xeomin® reduce targeted muscle activity. They're commonly used when repeated facial movement contributes to lines such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet.

Your face shouldn't advertise your filler.
Mark's approach to facial aesthetics is intentionally natural. The goal is not to make lips, cheeks, a chin or a jawline look “filled.” The goal is to enhance proportion, restore contour and improve facial balance while keeping the result believable.
That also means knowing when not to inject. Treatment plans are built around anatomy, risk, product behavior and what will actually improve the face—not around how many syringes someone asks for.

Immediate contour or a longer-term investment?
These are different tools. We use HA filler when we want to create shape or contour now, and biostimulation when the goal is to invest in collagen and skin quality over time.
Hyaluronic Acid Filler
Think of HA filler as the more immediate option. Product is physically placed to create volume, shape or contour, so the structural change is visible right away even though swelling and settling temporarily affect the final appearance.
Biostimulators: The 401(k) Analogy
Biostimulation is more like contributing to a 401(k): you invest today for changes that build over time. Sculptra is our primary facial biostimulator. We also use Radiesse selectively—especially for the hands, chest/décolleté and selected skin-quality treatments.
Why we use different fillers.
Bolus uses the Restylane family and Evolysse HA fillers. We don't choose a filler because its box is popular—we choose it because its behavior makes sense for the job.
Restylane® Family
The Restylane portfolio includes HA gels with different levels of firmness, flexibility and support. That gives us options for areas that need precision and structure as well as areas where movement and softness matter.
Evolysse®
Evolysse adds another HA filler family to our toolbox. As with Restylane, the specific product is selected around anatomy, treatment area and the type of result we're trying to create.
Many HA fillers can be reduced or dissolved with hyaluronidase.
Reversibility is one reason HA filler can be attractive—but dissolving is still a medical treatment, and not every injectable material can simply be melted away.
Elective Filler Dissolving
Procedure fee plus the amount of Hylenex® (hyaluronidase) used. The amount required varies with the product, location, amount of filler and treatment objective. More than one session may sometimes be necessary.
Not Everything Is Dissolvable
Hyaluronidase acts on hyaluronic acid. Sculptra and Radiesse are not HA fillers and cannot simply be dissolved with Hylenex the way HA filler can.
Ask your injector a question most patients never think to ask.

Bolus maintains hyaluronidase and an established complication-response protocol. Emergency preparedness is part of offering HA filler, not an optional extra.
Sometimes good injecting means saying no.
Common filler effects include temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness and redness. Other complications can include infection, inflammatory reactions, nodules, asymmetry, migration or an unwanted aesthetic result.
The most serious filler risk is unintended injection into a blood vessel. Although uncommon, vascular compromise can cause tissue injury or necrosis and, in rare cases, vision loss, stroke or other serious injury.
Areas Bolus does not treat with dermal filler
We do not inject filler into the nose, glabella/frown-line region or forehead. These are high-risk vascular areas and are outside our filler treatment policy.
Ultrasound is another clinical tool—not a magic shield.
Ultrasound may be used when clinically appropriate to evaluate anatomy, locate previously placed filler or add information during selected treatments. It does not eliminate the inherent risks of filler and does not change our policy against injecting the nose, glabella or forehead.
Know the urgent warning signs.
Unusual or escalating pain, blanching or unusual white/gray/blue skin color, new vision symptoms, or stroke-like symptoms during or after filler require immediate medical evaluation. Patients receive post-treatment instructions and should contact the practice promptly with concerns.

How much does dermal filler cost?
Lip filler is $750 for a full syringe or $450 for a half syringe. Chin filler starts at $750 and may require 2–4 syringes depending on anatomy and goals. Meaningful jawline contouring is typically a Starting around $2,500+ treatment investment because it often requires multiple syringes and may be staged. Final pricing is reviewed before treatment.
How long does filler last?
There is no single honest number for every filler. Longevity varies by product, treatment area, movement, amount placed and individual biology. We discuss expected duration for the specific product and area recommended for you.
How much is one syringe of filler?
One syringe contains about 1 mL—roughly one-fifth of a teaspoon, or about the size of a blueberry. That small scale is why structural facial contouring may appropriately require several syringes.
Will filler make me look fake?
That is exactly what we try to avoid. Our style emphasizes natural contour and balance. The goal is for people to notice that you look good—not immediately identify where filler was placed.
Do I need Botox or filler?
They do different jobs. Wrinkle relaxers reduce selected muscle activity. Filler changes volume, shape, contour or projection. Some patients benefit from both; others need neither because skin treatment or another modality makes more sense.
Can filler be dissolved?
Many hyaluronic acid fillers can be reduced or dissolved with hyaluronidase. Results are not perfectly predictable and more than one treatment may sometimes be needed. Sculptra and Radiesse are not HA fillers and are not dissolved with Hylenex in the same way.
How much does filler dissolving cost?
Elective filler dissolving at Bolus is $350 plus $3 per unit of Hylenex used. The amount required depends on the filler, amount, location and treatment objective.
What is G-prime?
It's simply one way of describing how firm or supportive a filler gel behaves. Think firmer gelatin versus softer pudding. Different textures are useful for different jobs, which is why we don't use the same filler everywhere.
Which filler brands does Bolus use?
For hyaluronic acid filler, Bolus uses products from the Restylane family and Evolysse family. The specific product is selected according to anatomy, treatment area and desired result.
Does Bolus inject nose filler?
No. Bolus does not inject dermal filler into the nose, glabella/frown-line region or forehead. These areas are outside our filler treatment policy.
