How it works
Semaglutide a weight loss injection, works by mimicking a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that targets areas of the brain that regulate appetite and food intake; it is a powerful appetite suppressant. It also works by increasing the production of insulin. Additionally, it inhibits glucagon, which is a hormone that increases blood sugar.
- Delays stomach emptying, leading to a feeling of fullness and smaller meal size
- Slows intestinal motility
- Lowers blood sugars
- Stimulates insulin secretion by the pancreas
Side Effects
Mild fatigue, intermittent nausea, constipation, and diarrhea. This is not a full list of possible side effects, but the most common we have gotten feedback on. Some are able to be prevented based on water intake and nutrition choices.
You are NOT a good candidate for semaglutide if you have any of the following: diabetic retinopathy, low blood sugar, decreased kidney function, pancreatitis, medullary thyroid cancer (or a family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma), or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2.
Since the semaglutide weight loss injection does not help increase energy or boost metabolism
How Much Does It Cost?
Semaglutide cost anywhere form $100-$150 per week on average dosing using our compound pharmacies. The retail version at CVS/Walgreens will run $1300-$1800 per month so we stay away form them and go with highly regulated compound pharmacies.
Ask yourself....how much is your health worth? Have you ever put a number on the cost of high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, or not being around to provide for your family? Everyone thinks they will live forever, but the fact is you will die early if you do not get serious about your health!
A Harvard Public Health Study recently showed that a BMI of 30.0-<35.0 kg/m2 was associated with a 45% higher risk of premature death; a BMI of 35.0-<40.0 kg/m2 was associated with a 94% higher risk; and a BMI of 40.0-<60.0 kg/m2 was associated with a nearly three-fold risk of early death. These are serious findings.
