Tinkerbell Lift + Nasal Flaring Botox
Refine Dynamic Nasal Movement Without Surgery.
The nose is not completely static. Small facial muscles can change the position of the nasal tip and the width of the nostrils during smiling, speaking and other facial expressions.
A treatment commonly called a Tinkerbell Lift targets selected downward muscular pull at the nasal tip. Nasal flaring can be approached separately by treating selected muscles involved in excessive alar movement.
The tip and nostrils can change with expression.
In selected patients, an active depressor septi nasi contributes to downward movement of the nasal tip, particularly during smiling or animation.
Other small nasal muscles influence movement of the nasal ala and nostril width. Excessive activity can make the nostrils flare more prominently with expression.
Neuromodulator treatment changes selected muscle activity. It does not reshape nasal bone or cartilage and is not a substitute for rhinoplasty.
Nasal tip pull and nasal flaring can be treated separately or together.
The treatment plan depends on what changes when you animate your face and which muscles appear to be driving the movement.
Tinkerbell Lift
Targets selected downward muscular pull when the nasal tip drops or plunges with smiling or facial animation.
Nasal Flaring
Targets selected muscular activity contributing to excessive widening or movement of the nostrils during expression.
Tip + Nostril Movement
When both patterns are present, the nasal tip and alar movement can be evaluated together as one dynamic treatment plan.
Small treatment area. Precision matters.
Nasal neuromodulator treatment involves small muscles that interact with the upper lip, smile and surrounding facial movement. We evaluate the nose both at rest and during animation before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.
Watch The Nose Move
We assess the nasal tip, nostrils, smile and symmetry at rest and during facial animation.
Determine The Muscular Pattern
The goal is to distinguish dynamic muscular movement from nasal shape created primarily by cartilage, bone or other structural anatomy.
Use A Focused Approach
When appropriate, treatment is conservative and targeted to the specific movement pattern rather than treating the entire nose.
A movement treatment is not a surgical nose job.
The Tinkerbell Lift is best understood as a dynamic neuromodulator treatment. By reducing selected downward muscular pull, the nasal tip may appear subtly more elevated during expression in appropriately selected patients.
It does not permanently rotate the nasal tip, reduce a dorsal hump, narrow nasal bones, reconstruct cartilage or create the structural changes possible with rhinoplasty.
That distinction is important: this is a subtle treatment for movement, not a nonsurgical replacement for every nasal-shape concern.
The right treatment depends on what is actually creating the concern.
Dynamic Tip Droop
A nasal tip that pulls downward primarily with smiling or animation may have a muscular component that can be evaluated for neuromodulator treatment.
Dynamic Nasal Flaring
Nostrils that widen excessively during expression may have a muscular component that can be treated in selected patients.
Structural Nose Shape
Bone, cartilage, fixed asymmetry and other structural features are not changed by Botox and may require a different treatment strategy.
Small areas can work together around the smile + lower face.
Depending on your anatomy and goals, nasal movement treatment may be considered alongside other highly targeted neuromodulator treatments.

Treatment is individualized according to whether the concern is nasal tip movement, nasal flaring or a combination of both.
Precision is especially important around the nose + upper lip.
Nasal muscles interact with surrounding facial expression. Appropriate patient selection and conservative treatment help reduce the risk of unwanted changes in smile or upper-lip movement.
Tell us before treatment if you...
Are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding; have a neuromuscular disorder; have significant facial weakness; have had prior botulinum toxin complications; have had nasal surgery or significant nasal trauma; or have an active infection in the treatment area.
Potential risks
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur. Other risks include asymmetry, unwanted changes in smile or upper-lip movement, unwanted muscle weakness and rare spread-of-toxin effects.
Common questions about nasal tip lift + nasal flaring treatment.
What is a Tinkerbell Lift?
A Tinkerbell Lift is a common aesthetic term for targeted neuromodulator treatment intended to reduce selected downward muscular pull on the nasal tip. It may create a subtle change in dynamic tip position in appropriately selected patients.
Can Botox lift the tip of my nose?
When downward tip movement is influenced by an active depressor septi nasi muscle, reducing that muscular pull may allow a subtle improvement in dynamic tip position. Botox does not structurally reshape the nose.
Can Botox reduce nasal flaring?
In selected patients, neuromodulator treatment of muscles involved in excessive alar movement may reduce dynamic nostril flaring. Results depend on anatomy and the cause of the widening.
Can the Tinkerbell Lift and nasal flaring be treated together?
Yes, when both dynamic patterns are present and treatment is clinically appropriate. Each component is assessed separately before creating the treatment plan.
Is a Tinkerbell Lift the same as a nonsurgical rhinoplasty?
No. Neuromodulator treatment changes selected muscle activity. It does not add filler, change bone or cartilage, correct a dorsal hump or reproduce the structural changes of rhinoplasty.
How much does Tinkerbell Lift / Nose Botox cost?
Treatment at Bolus starts at $150. Exact investment depends on whether the nasal tip, nasal flaring or both are treated and on the individualized treatment plan.
How long does Nose Botox last?
Neuromodulator effects are temporary and commonly last approximately 3–4 months, although individual response varies.
